Raglan Castle in South Wales Located between the tiny villages of Monmouth and Abergavenny in southeast Wales, the turreted Raglan Castle is a monument to medieval culture. Construction began in 1435, and the main tower would come under seige 200 years later during the Civil War. Surrounded by a moat, the tower held one large room per floor, where the county's most important citizens were tended to. Address:
