The gardens in Portmeirion feature a variety of vegetation. The early Victorian times mark the first plantings in the area with vegetation such as Wellingtonia, Noble and Himalayan Firs. During the Edwardian era additional vegetation such as Rhododendrons, Azaleas and Camellias were planted. Recently, a renovation programme restructured the park's lakes and extensive replanting occured throughout the park.
