Llanberis Lake Railway begins its tour of Snowdonia National Park at Gilfach Ddu in Padarn Park, continues to Penllyn and returns to the starting location again. The tour lasts approximately 40 minutes including a brief stop Cei Llydan. It is possible to stay at Cei Llydan to sightsee and return on a later train. The Snowdon Mountain Railway is set in the north-western slopes of Snowdon 3,560 feet above sea level. The train takes approximately one hour to reach the summit. Both Llanberis station and summit station feature facilties such as a gift shop and a cafe. The scenery and the view of Snowdonia National Park along the tour are spectacular.
