    		Pembroke Castle
    Founded in 1093 by Roger of Montgomery, this castle dominates the west end of Pembroke in both strength and appearance. A 23-metre tower stands tall in the castle grounds; visitors can climb to the top, which affords a spectacular view. The tower is closed on very windy days.
