This narrow gauge steam railway opened in 1902 and was originally built to deliver supplies to the lead mines in Rheidol Valley. Today the rail line runs for nearly 12 miles to Devil's Bridge from Aberystwyth. The one hour journey through the valley offers spectacular views and scenery. It is possible to take a later train back to Aberystwyth and spend some additional time exploring at Devil's Bridge by taking a walk to Mynach Falls, Devil's Punchbowl or Jacob's Ladder.
